Let the punishment fit the crime. Instead of putting these guys in jail make them teach 5th grade math until every student can pass a test on how to create a toxic derivative and synthetic investment device. After all, casinos have been known to hire the cheats that do stuff they’ve never seen so they can head it off in the future. Government computer hackers have been known to be hired instead of jailed to show what they know. I think you are on to something here with your book and course; “it takes one to know one” was never so true.
