$undance Film Fe$tival

January 25, 2011

The Cheater is at The Sundance Film Festival

The Cheater says: Hollywood in the snow. Cheaters on shaky footing. Looks like I’ll be scamming some scamsters this week. Look for “Get Rich Cheating” on the big screen soon (or, at least for it to get $10 million in funding which “accidentally” disappears).

Zoot $uit Riot

January 24, 2011

Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac make taxpayers foot their legal bills.

The Cheater Says
: So, let me get this straight… after recording a swing album, these brothers-from-another-mother (but the same Uncle Sam), take a little under-the-table palm-grease so financial behemoths can release lava from Mount Vesuvious… Then, when the ashy villagers sue for damages, they make those toasty citizens pay Fannie-Freddie’s legal bill? Wow. That is awe$ome. Play that cheatin’ mu$ic, white boys…

Somebody Told WikiCheats About You

January 18, 2011

Ex-Banker Gives Data on Tax Evasion to Wikileaks

The Cheater Says: Don’t worry about it, cheaters, just do some not-at-all-guilt-ridden prep like Bank of America did. Remember, you can’t spell “making millions by cheating on your taxes” without “cheating on your taxes.”

Lawsuit Loans – Cheat Those Being Cheated

January 17, 2011

Companies like LawCash get upwards of 100% interest on loans to those expecting legal settlements

The Cheater Says: These companies aren’t regulated since they’re not “lenders” – hooray for loopholes – and get to prey not just upon the desperate and needy, but upon the desperate and needy who’ve already been preyed upon! Kudo$!

One Page In Cheating

January 12, 2011

The three stories on page B3 of today’s New York Times:

Goldman Sachs Vows to Be More Open About Its Business
The Cheater Says: Yes, more open… “Please come look at what we’re doing, just lean a little bit further over that hole, a little further, don’t worry about the vampire squid in there, just lean a little further…”**

Chief of Barclays Urges and End of Criticism of Banking Industry
The Cheater Says: Yes, in other self-serving proclamations in for the good of everyone: Sarah Palin urges an end to criticism of those who’ll do and say anything for power, the Grim Reaper urges an end to criticism of Death, and Pooh urges an end of criticism of pantless honey addicts.

Schwab to Pay $119 Million to Settle Bond Fund Case
The Cheater Says: If they settled for $119 million, imagine how much they really cheated!

** A reference to “The Cask of Amontillado” would have been acceptable, but The Cheater doesn’t want to seem too elitist.

January 6, 2011

The two great cheats that cheat great together.

The Cheater Says: On a side note, Digital Sky Technologies, a Russian firm, also invested $50 million. Russian investment in US technology? No reason to fear, right Firefox? No, not that one, the one that makes me feel old.

Methinks The Cheater Doth Protest Too Much

January 3, 2011

Bank of America prepares huge defense after Wikileaks threatens to reveal the “ecosystem of corruption” at “a major American bank”

The Cheater Says: Just because you automatically check your pockets when someone says “I have the car keys of the murderer,” doesn’t mean you killed anyone. Great Cheaters know, when all you do is “wrong,” it’s best to overreact to every vague claim of wrongdoing.
The Cheater’s motto: “Be prepared (to deny everything)”.

p.s. An “ecosystem” of corruption? Sounds like “evolution” talk, which – as anyone who exploits ignorance & fear for financial gain knows – is non$ense.
